This Wealth Advisor position is located in our Farmington, Connecticut office.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive financial guidance and investment advice, precisely tailored to each client's unique goals and needs.
- Guide clients through all essential areas of personal finance, including investing, retirement planning, insurance, tax and estate planning, and education planning.
- Collaborate closely with our Investment Committee to develop bespoke investment strategies that align with client risk tolerance and financial objectives.
- Cultivate and manage existing client relationships through ongoing communication and strategic periodic reviews.
- Proactively identify and cultivate new client opportunities, expanding our reach and impact within the high-net-worth market.
- Leverage the firm's advanced investment strategies, cutting-edge technology, and in-depth research capabilities to consistently provide wealth planning solutions that are always in the best interest of the client.
- Promote MJP's diverse portfolio strategies and alternative investment solutions.
- Service existing MJP advisory and 401(k) plan clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and success.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years in a financial advisor role or equivalent financial services experience.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFP®, MBA, CPA) is a plus.
- FINRA Series 65 or 66 registration is required or must be obtained within six months of being hired. A Life & Health insurance license is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge across areas of wealth management, including investment management, financial planning, retirement planning, alternative investing, insurance, and estate/tax planning.
- Exceptional presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A self-starter with a true entrepreneurial spirit, possessing excellent organizational and time management skills.
- An unwavering commitment to providing extraordinary client service and a genuine interest in serving and caring for clients.
