About MJK Financial

MJK Financial is a retirement-focused financial planning and wealth management firm dedicated to helping clients build, protect, and distribute their assets throughout retirement. We specialize in retirement income planning, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, estate planning coordination, and long-term financial security.

Through our sister company, My Medicare Network, we serve thousands of Medicare beneficiaries and welcome more than 1,200 new clients annually. This creates a unique opportunity for a motivated financial advisor to develop relationships with an established client base while also growing their own book of business through prospecting and networking.

Position Summary

MJK Financial is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Financial Advisor to join our growing team. This individual will work with retirement-age clients, provide comprehensive financial planning services, and help clients navigate important retirement decisions.

The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting new people, conducting financial reviews, identifying planning opportunities, and building long-term client relationships. While the firm provides access to a large flow of potential clients through My Medicare Network, advisors are also expected to actively prospect and develop new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial planning and retirement income planning meetings with clients and prospects.
  • Develop and implement investment recommendations tailored to client goals and risk tolerance.
  • Build relationships with clients introduced through My Medicare Network and identify opportunities to provide advisory services.
  • Present wealth management, retirement planning, and income distribution strategies.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients through reviews and ongoing service.
  • Prospect for new business through networking, referrals, community involvement, seminars, workshops, and other business development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to deliver a comprehensive client experience.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on financial planning, investment, retirement, and industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 required (Series 7 preferred if applicable).
  • Life and Health Insurance License preferred.
  • Experience in financial planning, wealth management, retirement planning, or investment advisory services.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to develop business through both firm-generated opportunities and personal prospecting efforts.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and financial planning software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Medicare-related planning considerations is beneficial but not required.
  • Long-term care planning knowledge and experience are a significant plus.

What We Offer

  • Access to a large and growing retirement-focused client base.
  • More than 1,200 new Medicare clients introduced annually through our sister company, My Medicare Network.
  • Marketing support and lead-generation resources.
  • Comprehensive planning platform and operational support.
  • Opportunity to build a substantial recurring revenue book of business.
  • Competitive compensation structure with significant growth potential.
  • Collaborative team environment focused on helping retirees achieve financial confidence.
  • 1099 Independent contractor position

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate enjoys meeting people, building trust, and helping retirees make important financial decisions. They are proactive, professional, and committed to growing both client relationships and their own career. This role is ideal for an advisor who wants access to a steady stream of retirement-focused prospects while maintaining the freedom to build and expand their personal practice.
