Quality Review & Staff Education Specialist at MJHS Summary:
The Quality Review and Staff Education Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of UAS-NY assessment data and visit documentation completed by nursing staff and business partners.
This involves performing quality audits, identifying trends for retraining, implementing corrective actions, and providing ongoing education and orientation for assessment nurses.
The role requires participation in interdisciplinary team meetings and travel to conduct training and assessments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of UAS-NY assessment data and visit documentation
- Identify trends for retraining and implement corrective actions
- Provide ongoing education and orientation for assessment nurses
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Travel to conduct training and assessments as needed
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required
- Master's degree in nursing, education or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years clinical experience required
- Managed Care experience preferred
- UAS-NY experience required
- NYS Registered Nurse license and registration required
Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills and interpretation of data
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments
- Working knowledge of audit techniques and methodologies
