We’re seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial Market Access Agency Lead to build and scale a best-in-class team focused on helping life sciences companies navigate the evolving market access landscape. This individual will be responsible for developing the group’s vision, capabilities, and client base. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of payer strategy, value communications, and access-oriented stakeholder engagement.
Agency Leadership & Growth
$150,000 – $250,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. We’re seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial Market Access Agency Lead to build and scale a best-in-class team focused on helping life sciences companies navigate the evolving market access landscape. This individual will be responsible for developing the group’s vision, capabilities, and client base. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of payer strategy, value communications, and access-oriented stakeholder engagement.
Agency Leadership & Growth
- Define and execute an agency-level strategic vision, service offerings, and operating model
- Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team (account, strategy, content, creative, medical, etc.)
- Establish scalable internal processes for project management, client service, and quality control
- Lead new business development efforts—including outreach, proposal development, and pitch delivery
- Serve as senior point of contact for key clients and prospects, delivering strategic guidance across payer, provider, and policy audiences
- Cultivate partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients focused on pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, and access strategy
- Translate complex access, reimbursement, and policy issues into actionable strategy and compelling deliverables
- Lead development of access-focused messaging platforms, value proposition tools, AMCP dossiers, stakeholder engagement plans, and pull-through resources
- Stay ahead of market access trends (e.g., CMS policy, PBM shifts, VBC, copay accumulators) and apply insights to agency strategy and client work
- Own P&L accountability and drive agency profitability and growth targets
- Build infrastructure (CRM, workflow tools, SOPs) needed to support scale
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards, especially in promotional medical communications
- 10 years in healthcare marketing or consulting, with at least 5 years focused on market access
- Proven success building or significantly scaling an agency, consultancy, or business unit
- Deep knowledge of US payer and reimbursement landscape; comfort working across therapeutic areas
- Strong client leadership and team-building experience
- Excellent communication and strategic storytelling skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisive moves
- Prior experience in life science/pharmaceutical product launch
- Advanced degree in health policy, public health, business, or life sciences (MS, MBA, MPH, PharmD)
