Panel Saw - CNC Operator

The Production Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production. Previous Experience Operating Schelling/Homag Panel Saws Preferred.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications
• Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
• Know corrective actions to bring product up to standards when output product does not meet acceptable quality
• Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations
• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation
• Understand and follow production work orders
• Keep track of raw material consumption and product output via production tags
• Must possess a sense of urgency while keeping safety foremost

Recommended Skills and Other Requirements:

• At least one year of related experience required
• Understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable a non-climate-controlled warehouse facility
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and days when required
• Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts
• Non-climate-controlled warehouse facility
• Noise Level: Medium Loud

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working while standing, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
• Ability to work with various hand tools specific to machine

Required:

• High School diploma or GED
• Must have reliable transportation
