MJ is accepting applications for a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our great employees in our Engineering Department located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clifton Park, NY in 2023. • Work within a project team to support water/ wastewater projects from initial project programming up to and through construction.
• Assist in the preparation of design calculations and technical specifications for a variety of water and wastewater projects, including utility pipelines, storage facilities, pumping stations, and treatment facilities.
• Prepare project plans including site plans, utility plans and profiles, process water and wastewater plans to support project approvals and construction.
• Support in the preparation of technical reports including engineering reports, utility master plans, capital improvement plans, condition assessments, and feasibility studies for water and sanitary systems.
• Conduct field investigations to assess site conditions, inspect facilities and provide engineering support during design and construction.
• Communicate effectively and coordinate with project team members. Qualifications:
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental engineering from an ABET- accredited college.
• 0 to 4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, including water and wastewater.
• Registration as an Intern Engineer in NY is preferred.
• Understanding of State, Federal, and local regulations specific to water supply systems, sanitary sewers, and wastewater treatment.
• Ability to work within multiple design teams and execute to meet demanding schedules.
• Have excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be eligible to work without an employer sponsorship.Pay is based on applicant’s ability/experience and will be rated accordingly.
