Voice and Piano Instructor – MJ's Music School (Waltham, MA)
MJ's Music School is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled instructor to teach both private voice and piano lessons in our thriving community music school. For more than 20 years, MJ's Music School has been a vibrant part of the Waltham community, providing high-quality music education in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Available Teaching Hours
- Monday–Thursday: Approximately 3:00 PM–8:00 PM
- Saturday: Approximately 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Compensation starts at $41 per hour and may be higher based on experience and qualifications.
While the school is accessible via public transportation, a car is recommended for ease of travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field
- Previous private lesson teaching experience
- Ability to teach both voice and piano to students of varying ages, abilities, and musical interests
- Comfortable teaching a range of styles, including classical, musical theater, pop, and contemporary music
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create positive relationships with students and families
- Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs is highly desirable
