As part of our non-union workforce, the apprentice will also cross-train in Mechanical and Electrical departments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks for industrial machinery installations and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Assist in mechanical equipment setup and maintenance.
- Conduct field repairs on piping, structural steel, and machine frames.
- Cross-train in mechanical maintenance and basic electrical work.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet job timelines.
- Follow proper housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Travel to job sites across the country as part of a mobile crew.
Qualifications:
- Basic proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Basic fabrication skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics.
- Interest in learning electrical systems and controls.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and PPE.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided if not held).
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
