Boom Truck/Material Placement Operator

About the Role:

The Boom Truck/Material Placement Operator plays a critical role in safely and efficiently operating boom trucks to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment at various job sites across the United States. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that loads are handled securely and that all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. The operator will collaborate closely with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members to coordinate lifting tasks and maintain smooth workflow. Additionally, the role involves routine inspection and maintenance of the boom truck to guarantee optimal performance and prevent mechanical failures. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by state regulations.
• Proven experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy lifting equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations related to crane and boom truck operations.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and rigging plans.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized crane operator training program or association (e.g., NCCCO).
• Experience with multiple types of boom trucks and cranes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the boom truck to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

• Document daily activities, inspections, and any incidents or equipment issues accurately and promptly.
