Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, tankers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and vehicles with manual transmissions
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the specific type of vehicle being operated (e.g., Class A for tractor-trailers)
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past [number] years
- Proven experience operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including those listed in the skills section
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts, as required for loading and unloading cargo
