Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our team, supporting JLG, SkyTrak, Genie, Skyjack, Cummins, and Deutz brands. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of heavy machinery, specifically boom lifts, telehandlers, and scissor lifts. Your expertise will ensure all equipment operates in a safe, efficient, and reliable condition.

Duties

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on various heavy construction equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake repairs, and transmission servicing.
  • Repair and replace diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics systems, drive train components, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring to maintain peak operational efficiency.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
  • Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of telehandlers, boomlifts, scissors lifts, and powertrains including transmissions and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic software for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with equipment diagnostics applied to heavy-duty diesel engines; knowledge of brake repair, drive train components, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring, and HVAC repairs.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or installations.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance; committed to maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
  • Familiarity with electrical repairs; experience working with schematics for complex electrical systems is highly desirable. Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
