Hiring Server

mizuki sushi is looking for a part-time/full-part Server to join our team in Citrus Heights, CA.

We are looking for a professional Server to take and deliver orders. You will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers experience. You will be responsible for all front-of-house duties, from setting up the restaurant to taking and serving orders. You must be highly organized, punctual, and reliable. You must be able to work with a team in a fast-paced environment. We are a fun, fast-paced startup with lots of growth potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Take and serve orders from customers

• Answer questions or make recommendations for food choices by explaining menu items, specials etc.
• Check in with customers when ordering food or drinks
• Prepare food for customers while counting money or writing prices on dishes
• Clean the restaurant during business hours
• Answer customer questions about ingredients, menu items etc. by explaining special orders or food specials
• Communicate with management as needed to maintain a pleasant and professional environment for customers
• Perform other duties as assigned by management which may include but not be limited to opening, closing, or assisting with other tasks which may become necessary throughout the day

Experience:
Previous experience in restaurant service is preferred but not required

• Must be able to work well with others (team spirit)
• Must be able to stand during entire shift.... this includes walking around the entire length of the restaurant during shifts
• Must have excellent customer service skills; must be able to communicate effectively with customers; must be able to handle money; must be able to write accurate prices on the menu; must know how to make quick calculations when ordering food or drinks for large groups; must have knowledge of restaurant menu items and their descriptions
• Must have knowledge of restaurant menu items and their descriptions - including any special requests that may become necessary throughout the day (this includes learning all menu items within the restaurant's normal menu structure)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
