Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression.
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements.
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and assisting with reservations or questions.
- Coordinate seating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously, escalating issues when necessary to ensure resolution.
- Support guest relations by providing information about menu items, restaurant policies, and upcoming events.
Experience
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong food service background with knowledge of restaurant operations enhances guest interactions.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in hotel or guest services roles can be beneficial for creating a hospitable atmosphere.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
