Job Overview
Miyo's Restaurant and Izakaya Bar in Hilo, HI is looking for a bartender to join our team. Our charming Izakaya bar is a cozy extension of Miyo's, a Hilo favorite. The bar has an extensive craft sake program, creative cocktails and a rotating craft beer selection . Our ideal candidate is a multi tasking ninja with strengths in classic cocktail preparation and a mastery of the steps of service.
Work Hours/Pay
hour pay $14.00 plus tips

Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Upsell drinks and promote special offers
- Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies as needed
Skills
- 3 years experience in bartending or related roles
- Proficiency in operating POS systems
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes and mixology techniques
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Understanding of food handling and safety regulations
- Sales skills to promote drinks and increase revenue
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and handling payments
