Pharmacist (Part-Time)

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a part-time Pharmacist in our pharmacy in Hollywood, FL. We are looking for individuals with a desire to learn veterinary compounding who are obsessed with details and are driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and their furry (and scaly!) friends no matter what. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our pharmacy operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.

This is a part-time hourly position Monday-Friday (2-6pm), with the requirement to work alternating Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

• Compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including but not limited to the compounding of capsules, tablets, oral liquids and topical medications
• Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications - in other words, full-service compounding from chemicals to packaging
• Counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with USP 795, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies and procedures
• Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance on product features, participating in sales activities such as calling or visiting veterinary clinics
• Perform Care Pharmacist duties on an as needed basis
  
  
  
  
  

About You:

• You are a licensed certified pharmacist in the state of Florida, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
• You have a strong desire to learn non-sterile veterinary compounding, bonus points if you have formal training or prior work experience in a compounding or veterinary pharmacy
• Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
• You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment
