Studio Assistant - Night Hours/As-needed

Are you an aspiring music artist, producer, or engineer looking for FREE studio time and industry connections?

Union/MIX/Zoom Recording Studios are seeking motivated and reliable Studio Assistants to help with studio rental openings, equipment setup, and occasional cleaning/reset tasks. We are hiring at least two reliable Studio Assistants to help cover our late-night studio operations between 10:00 PM and 3:00 AM. This role includes free studio access when studio is availabe and may provide an opportunity to be considered for a future Sound Engineer position based on performance, reliability, skills, and company needs. Advancement is not guaranteed.

Priority service windows:

• Friday and/or Saturday: 10:00 PM–3:00 AM (essential). In addition: any 1–3 weekdays: 10:00 PM–3:00 AM

There is no guaranteed minimum number of assignments. Contractors need to provide their own availability in advance and are responsible for completing accepted assignments according to the agreed checklist and completion standards.

What You’ll Do:

- Assist with studio rental openings (set up equipment, test connections, greet clients)
- Keep the studio clean and ready for the next session
- Answer basic client questions about the studio and assist with simple tasks
- Enjoy studio time at no charge when rooms are available

Qualifications:

- Recording and Mixing basic knowledge;


- Basic Pro Tools knowledge (all candidates will be tested during an interview);


- Familiar with Logic X, Ableton, FL Studio;

- Audio and signal flow understanding;

- Proficient on MacOs computers;


- Must be available for evening/night time and weekends and live within 10 miles of Hollywood/Downtown Los Angeles;

- Reliable with good time management skills;


- Team player;


- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment;

- Experience in Video Shooting / Editing is a plus;


- All around passionate for audio and music.
