Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled lead maintenance tech to join our team in Venice, Florida. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant. POSITION - Maintenance Tech - Manufacturing Plant LOCATION - Venice, Florida HOURLY RATE - $28.00 -$34.00 - Plus $1.50 per hour for SD SHIFT - Day Shift - Monday - Thursday - 5am to 5pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Installs, adjusts, and repairs production equipment and special purpose machines, including equipment’s electrical supply lines and circuits, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing, pneumatic controls and systems, and hydraulic systems. Inspects equipment for proper lubrication and performs general preventative maintenance duties. Learns and understands information needed for MP#2 program. Diagnoses equipment operating problems and makes repairs, part replacements, and adjustments, making a record of change in logbooks, where applicable. Upon diagnose and determination refers complex situations to supervisor and higher-level mechanics. Operates variety of hand and power tools, shop equipment and machining tools. Welds and performs sheet metal operations as required. Inspects equipment and tests performance of equipment following repairs. Makes note of parts used and fills out requisitions order. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Informed and utilizes Lock Out and Tag Out procedures. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of three years experience in journey-level equipment maintenance Knowledge of electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions Attention to detail and established procedures CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Journeyman in Equipment Maintenance PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
