What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collateral Manager Operations position at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, New York Branch?
This position is responsible for the Operations Group's (OG) portfolio reconciliation and margin call and settlement with counterparties to comply with margin regulations for non-centrally cleared derivatives.
Responsibilities
• Support and collaborate with Head Office in Tokyo to assume processing remaining margin call/negotiation/settlement with counterparty for International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Credit Support Annex (CSA).
• Communicate with OG team and Head Office to share, proceed, and complete daily routine Collateral Manager (CM) operations.
• Cross train with the OG Loan operations team for additional support. Support other functions related to system upgrades and new systems related to group as assigned by managers (e.g. UAT).
• Enhance, repair, and validate payment and loan data to ensure transaction monitoring data are captured.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues and breaks in data reconciliations.
• Support the review and timely updates of group policies, procedures and operation manual. Perform Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) to ensure transactions and processing operations are in compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements.
• Assist and support the group on audit and regulatory exam matters.
• Based on changes in the business work environment, job responsibilities can change, and additional functions and tasks may be added or removed accordingly. Additionally, this position will perform other duties as required, and participate in special projects as deemed necessary and appropriate by Management.
Skills & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience.
Experience/Knowledge of Collateral Management (Reg IM/Reg VM Margin Call).
Knowledge of settlements for cash and bonds (Wire transfers, bond settlement through Custodian)
Experience/Knowledge of SWIFT MX Payment Messages
Systems: TriOptima, Xact, Euroclear/Easyway, BNY Access Nexen, JPMorgan Market
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Demonstrated analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $80K - $95K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
