We’re seeking a Quality & Process Control Manager who will bring technical expertise, leadership excellence, and a continuous improvement mindset to our Performance Polymers Division. This is a pivotal role that ensures our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction — every time. You’ll lead a talented team of Quality Managers and Process Specialists across multiple locations, guiding the development and implementation of unified quality systems, driving corrective actions, and embedding a culture of accountability and innovation. What You’ll Do As the Quality & Process Control Manager, you’ll be the key link between our production, R&D, and commercial teams — ensuring that every process and product reflects PPD’s commitment to quality excellence. You will: Lead and Develop Multi-Site Quality Teams Oversee and mentor Quality Managers at each manufacturing site, aligning efforts to company-wide standards and goals. You’ll ensure consistency in inspections, lab procedures, and quality documentation across all locations. Champion Quality Systems and Certifications Maintain and strengthen our ISO 9001, TS16949, and A2LA accreditations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations. Partner with Quality Assurance to manage customer complaints, internal audits, and external assessments. Collaborate with R&D for Material and Process Innovation Work closely with R&D teams to establish material specifications, critical characteristics, and testing methods. Support the Management of Change (MOC) process and ensure all new material introductions meet rigorous quality criteria before scaling to production. Drive Supplier Quality Performance Partner with Procurement to manage supplier quality issues, ensuring material suppliers meet our specifications and performance standards. Support PPAP submissions and supplier change approvals to maintain quality consistency throughout the supply chain. Lead Continuous Improvement and Data-Driven Problem Solving Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other analytical methods to evaluate process capability, reduce variation, and identify improvement opportunities. Lead root cause analyses, corrective actions, and the implementation of sustainable solutions. Build and Standardize the Corporate Quality Operating System Oversee the development and implementation of a consistent Corporate Quality Operating System (LabTrack – S4 SAP) across PPD manufacturing sites. Ensure data integrity, traceability, and seamless communication between quality, production, and leadership teams. Support Innovation and Customer Collaboration Serve as a customer quality focal point, supporting the Commercial team in addressing client needs, quality documentation requests, and technical validations. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and partnership growth. Elevate the Culture of Quality Lead 5S initiatives within the Quality Department, ensuring an organized, safe, and efficient work environment. Inspire your teams to take pride in quality and problem-solving at every stage of production. What You Bring We’re looking for a leader who blends technical depth, people leadership, and operational vision — someone who thrives in a collaborative, data-driven, and fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related) — or equivalent experience. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a material certification lab environment or similar manufacturing quality role. 5 years of proven leadership experience, managing teams or multi-site quality functions. Strong knowledge of SPC, root cause analysis, and analytical testing methodologies. Experience as a customer/supplier quality focal point with the ability to manage relationships and resolve technical concerns. Hands-on understanding of ISO9001, TS16949, and A2LA accreditation requirements. Expertise in AIAG automotive quality standards — including PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans. Demonstrated success in managing audits and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Preferred Qualifications: Certification or training in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement. Familiarity with process automation systems (Foxboro) or SAP-based quality data management. A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams. What Success Looks Like In your first year, success will mean: Establishing alignment among site Quality Managers and ensuring consistent lab and process standards. Improving the speed and effectiveness of customer complaint resolution. Strengthening supplier quality collaboration to reduce variation and improve material reliability. Implementing measurable improvements in process capability and product consistency. Building stronger connectivity between Quality, R&D, and Production teams to accelerate innovation while maintaining compliance. The salary range for this position is $103,400 - $129,300. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
