MEPPI’s High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) is seeking a detail-oriented Tool Room Attendant to perform stocking, issuing, and replenishment of factory supplies, tools, and equipment. In this role, you will ensure availability and accuracy of stocked items to support production operations and maintain accurate records within our business systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Stock and issue tools, equipment, and factory supplies to workers; maintain records of items issued and returned, manually or using a computer.
- Investigate and search for missing or un-returned tools and equipment.
- Stock point-of-use locations to designated levels at all times (e.g., rolling AR carts).
- Maintain designated inventory levels in the tool room to ensure availability.
- Unpack and store incoming supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Check tools and equipment for defects, wear, and cleanliness; report defects to supervisor and clean as required.
- Request replacement supplies, tools, and equipment as required.
What You Bring:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Experience in a factory, manufacturing, or warehouse setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Basic attention to detail; basic communication skills; basic computer skills with emphasis on MS Office and understanding of business systems; ability to read and follow instructions; ability to relate well with co-workers; ability to work in a factory environment.
Other Qualifications:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds on an occasional basis; ability to stand, sit, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.
