POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide support to the division in the collection, distribution, and reproduction of various documents as well as other administrative tasks.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Collect, distribute, and reproduce correspondence and documents for all departments.
- Package and ship documents and materials upon request using various service providers. Schedule outgoing package pickup as needed.
- Order, organize, and maintain an adequate level of office and mailroom supplies.
- Collaborate with the IT department to maintain operability of copiers, printers, folders, fax machines, and postage meters.
- Receive, sort, and deliver all incoming mail.
- Assist all departments in filing and retrieving documents, including the copying, and distributing of engineering drawings.
- Perform basic data entry into previously established systems.
- Serve as backup for division Receptionist as needed. Perform duties of answering phones, redirecting calls, greeting visitors, entering timesheets, and maintaining receptionist logs. Ensure that all visitors are checked in and out of the building in accordance with company procedures.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Switchgear Division by conducting business with other MEPPI divisions and customers in a timely and positive manner.
- Know MEPPI’s Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

EDUCATION/SPECIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
- High school diploma or GED and experience in mailroom or office operations, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with visitors, callers, and co-workers.
- Ability to work independently and on several projects simultaneously.
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS OF THE WORKPLACE:
- Ability to stand and walk up to 6 hours per day.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
