In this role, you’ll combine chemical engineering expertise with practical plant experience to enhance safety, reliability, and productivity across integrated manufacturing units.
What You’ll Do
As a key technical partner to Operations, you’ll oversee and continuously improve EVOH polymer and distillation processes:
- Optimize plant performance: Monitor and control polymer manufacturing and distillation units to ensure safe, stable, and cost-effective operation.
- Lead startups & shutdowns: Plan and support plant startups, maintenance turnarounds, and product grade transitions.
- Troubleshoot & solve: Diagnose production issues—including process, equipment, and human-factor causes—and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement: Analyze production methods, mass/energy balances, and operating limits to boost yield, quality, and efficiency.
- Strengthen process knowledge: Build deep expertise in plant chemistry and operating conditions; translate insights into improved designs and procedures.
- Coach operations teams: Train and guide operators on best practices and process intent to enhance execution and reliability.
- Communicate & document: Deliver clear technical reports and recommendations to operations and leadership stakeholders.
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry required
- 3–7 years of plant or process engineering experience in chemical or polymer manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with distillation, reaction, and/or polymer processes
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and data interpretation skills
- Ability to translate technical findings into actionable operational improvements
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Work on advanced EVOH barrier materials used in critical packaging and industrial applications

Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
