Our mission is bold and long-term:
To become the pre-eminent light therapy company on planet Earth.
Mito Red Light is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead, scale, and professionalize our entire marketing function.
This is not a passive oversight role and not a “stay in your lane” environment.
You will work with direct, high-visibility access to the CEO and executive leadership, playing a central role in shaping company strategy, growth priorities, and brand direction. Your work will be seen, measured, and felt across the business.
This role is ideal for a marketing leader who wants real ownership, the ability to make meaningful decisions, and the opportunity to be a true difference maker inside a rapidly growing company and category.
You will own both strategy and execution—building systems, leading people, analyzing data, and driving measurable growth across every major channel.
If you are energized by fast-paced environments, high standards, and accountability—and you want your work to materially move the needle—this role will be a strong fit.
- High visibility & influence: You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team, with direct input into company-wide growth initiatives and priorities.
- True ownership: This role owns outcomes, not just activity. You will have the authority—and responsibility—to build, fix, and scale what matters.
- Career growth: As the company grows, this role grows. There is meaningful long-term upside for the right leader.
- Fast, fun, and execution-oriented: We move quickly, test aggressively, and value results over bureaucracy.
- Generous compensation: We offer a highly competitive compensation package that rewards performance, impact, and ownership.
- Own and lead the entire marketing department, setting strategy, priorities, and performance standards.
- Build and execute an integrated omnichannel marketing strategy across DTC (Shopify), Amazon, affiliates, influencers, partnerships, PR, and retail.
- Establish clear KPIs, reporting systems, and accountability across all marketing initiatives.
- Own the marketing P&L, budget allocation, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- Lead and scale our affiliate and influencer ecosystem, including recruitment, performance management, content strategy, and payout optimization.
- Develop and manage brand partnerships and strategic collaborations that drive measurable revenue and brand equity.
- Oversee trade shows, live events, and experiential marketing—from strategy through execution and ROI analysis.
- Own full-funnel paid acquisition across Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Bing, and Amazon Ads.
- Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) across Shopify through A/B testing, funnel analysis, and UX improvements.
- Lead SEO strategy (technical, content, and on-page) to build long-term, category-defining organic traffic.
- Build and maintain dashboards tracking CAC, ROAS, LTV, attribution, cohort performance, and channel efficiency.
- Implement and manage attribution using GA4, Triple Whale, PMax, and related tools.
- Operate as a data-first marketer—decisions are driven by numbers, testing, and measurable outcomes.
- Translate complex performance data into clear insights and action plans for leadership.
- Leverage AI tools for creative testing, audience segmentation, forecasting, and marketing automation.
- Continuously improve reporting clarity so leadership has full visibility into what is working and why.
- Own brand positioning and storytelling across all channels.
- Oversee creative direction for video, photography, ads, influencer content, and product launches.
- Ensure all marketing aligns with our science-first, credibility-driven brand standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance internal team and external agency partners.
- Create a culture of high standards, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Be willing to step in personally—reviewing creative, analyzing data, writing copy, or closing gaps when needed.
- 7–10 years of marketing experience, with 3 years leading marketing at a DTC or eCommerce brand.
- Proven experience scaling revenue in the $10M–$50M range.
- Demonstrated success across affiliate marketing, influencer programs, partnerships, paid media, and SEO.
- Deep comfort with analytics and performance data; this role requires daily interaction with metrics.
- Hands-on experience with Shopify, GA4, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Klaviyo, Impact, Triple Whale, SEMrush, or similar tools.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate marketing performance and scale.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Consistent, scalable growth in revenue and qualified traffic.
- Strong ROAS, improving LTV/CAC, and clear attribution visibility.
- A high-performing affiliate, influencer, and partnerships engine.
- Well-executed trade shows and events with measurable ROI.
