FDEs sit at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and solutions architecture. You will work hands-on with customer IT, security, data, and R&D teams to set up secure cloud environments, configure integrations, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure Mithrl becomes a seamless part of their discovery workflow.This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, deep comfort with cloud infrastructure, and excellent problem solving skills. You will work very closely with customer teams to design deployment architectures, automate provisioning steps, validate platform functionality in their environments, and ensure that their scientific teams can begin using Mithrl without friction.If you enjoy solving hard and novel problems in real customer environments, working across cloud infrastructure and product engineering, and being part of the customer’s journey from day one, this role is an ideal match.WHAT YOU WILL DODeploy Mithrl into customer private clouds including AWS, Azure, or GCPWork directly with customer IT and security teams to configure networking, IAM, private subnets, secure VPCs, and data access patternsBuild integrations between customer systems and Mithrl APIs for data ingestion or workflow automationValidate deployed environments through functional, performance, and scientific smoke testsTroubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and connectivity issues in real customer environmentsImplement automation and internal tools that make deployments faster, more reliable, and more repeatableServe as a technical advisor to customers during onboarding and through early product adoptionDocument deployment guidelines, architecture templates, and integration playbooksCollaborate with Mithrl platform engineering, DevOps, and ML teams to resolve issues and drive improvementsEnsure that deployments meet customer security standards and internal best practicesWHAT YOU BRINGRequired QualificationsStrong experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience configuring VPCs, IAM, networking, private endpoints, and secure infrastructure setupsSoftware engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Python or a similar languageExperience with container technologies and orchestrators such as Docker, ECS, EKS, or KubernetesAbility to diagnose and resolve issues involving networking, storage, compute, and configurationExperience working directly with external stakeholders in highly technical environmentsExcellent problem solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in complex customer deploymentsStrong communication skills and ability to build trust with customer teamsNice to HaveExperience integrating ML or data heavy platforms into enterprise environmentsExperience with Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with secure data environments, regulated R&D teams, or biotech customersFamiliarity with scientific computing or R&D workflow toolsExperience writing internal tools, automation scripts, or lightweight backend servicesWHAT YOU WILL LOVE AT MITHRLHigh ownership and impact: You will work directly with leading pharma and biotech organizations on real deployments.
