What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ad Agency Account Coordinator position at Mithoff Burton Partners?
Ad Agency Account Coordinator
ABOUT THE ROLE
MBP is a 97-year-old El Paso advertising agency trusted by major regional brands - Planet Fitness, Tommy’s Express, Marathon Petroleum, El Paso Health, and more. We build campaigns, manage media, write strategy, shoot content, and move fast.
We are hiring a Client Coordinator (Account Coordinator) to help manage day-to-day client needs, keep creative flowing, and support our senior strategists.
If you enjoy a fast-paced, creative environment and like being part of a strong team, you’ll thrive here. This role offers real responsibility, clear direction, and a supportive group that wants you to succeed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Act as the daily point-of-contact for assigned clients
- Prep briefs, track tasks, and keep Basecamp (workflow management system) updated
- Turn client requests into clear internal action items
- Help manage deadlines for creative, media, and production
- Review creative before delivery — copy, spelling, formatting, and ensuring the work meets our standard.
- Manage campaign assets, deliverables, and file organization
- Support shoots, events, and on-site creative needs
- Draft recap emails, call notes, and messaging frameworks
THIS ROLE IS GREAT IF:
• You want to build a real career inside a respected, long-standing ad agency — not just a “marketing assistant” job.
• You enjoy fast-moving days, variety, and a steady flow of creative work.
• You communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with clients and teammates.
• You take initiative, stay organized, and keep projects on track without being micromanaged.
• You solve problems early, spot details others miss, and help keep work clean and on-brand.
• You enjoy supporting creative teams and being part of meaningful campaigns that impact the city.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in marketing/PR/advertising preferred (not required for the right brain)
- Excellent writing communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Comfortable working in teams and taking feedback
- Available full-time, in-office (El Paso, TX)
WHAT YOU GET
• Competitive pay and real responsibility from day one
• A front-row seat to true agency life — strategy, creative, media, production, shoots, all of it
• A clear growth path where your work actually matters (Account Coordinator → AE)
• Your fingerprints on high-visibility campaigns across El Paso — outdoor, TV, social, branding
• A creative, energetic team that moves fast, collaborates deeply, and takes pride in good work
• Mentorship from senior strategists and creatives who help you level up quickly
• A place to build real skills and a long-term career in advertising
If you're sharp, motivated, and ready to be part of a real agency doing real work, we want to meet you. Send your resume, a short intro, and anything you’re proud of. Let’s do great work together.
