Shipping Manager

A Shipping Manager job in Prescott Valley, AZ is available at Milgard Windows and Doors (MITER Brands). This position is responsible for overseeing the Shipping Department to ensure product is shipped out on a timely basis. You should have a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, 2 years of supervisory experience and an associate degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or a related field. The annual compensation range is $88,000.00 to $120,000.00, depending on experience. Shipping Manager job responsibilities include:

· Coordinates the manufacture and shipment of products to meet shipment schedules

· Determines proper packing and crating of goods to be shipped

· Provides accurate bills of lading and keeps records of goods shipped

· Schedules and expedites appropriate transportation to comply with shipping deadlines

· Work with Dispatcher to monitor and actively pursue lowest possible freight rates

· Ensure the integrity of the location systems

· Organize and maintain the staging areas to ensure maximum safety and efficiency

· Perform all supervisory duties including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

· Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with transportation and other applicable suppliers & customers

· Other duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

· Associates degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or another related field preferred

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility

· Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Ability to effectively enforce applicable regulations and policies

· Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience preferred

· Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers

· Ability to multi-task and effectively motivate team members and others with diverse backgrounds

· Ability to work flexible hours depending upon the needs of the department

· Strong organizational and analytical skills
