Strategic Operations & Logistics
- Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee warehousing across three sites, managing the seamless flow of finished goods from production to final delivery.
- Carrier & Fleet Management: Direct dedicated 3PL fleet services and manage external freight partnerships to optimize shipping costs and service levels.
- Operational Planning: Manage staffing schedules, develop impactful training programs, and implement Lean methodologies to streamline workflows.
- Financial Accountability: Execute strategic plans to reduce costs, improve productivity, and maintain strict budget controls.
- Safety Leadership: Foster a "safety-first" culture and drive accountability for a secure, OSHA-compliant work environment.
- Quality Standards: Maintain best practices for product handling and order accuracy; collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve issues and enhance customer experience.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory accuracy, shipping speed, and quality, driving corrective actions as needed.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a diverse workforce in the warehousing and crating departments, with a focus on developing future leaders.
- Culture Building: Promote a high-performance environment rooted in open communication, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
- Change Management: Champion new technologies and process improvements, proactively address barriers to ensure successful implementation and team buy-in.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering)
- Alternative: Significant relevant work experience (7–10 years) in lieu of degree
- Professional Certifications (highly preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- APICS/ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD).
- OSHA safety certification (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour General Industry).
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills; able to solve complex operational hurdles in real-time.
- Proven track record in Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Deep familiarity with OSHA regulations; VPP (Voluntary Protection Programs) experience is a significant plus.
