Mitchell 1 is seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow a field-based sales team across the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
This role is designed for a proven sales leader with experience building, recruiting, coaching, and driving performance within a distributed field sales team. The ideal candidate will successfully lead a network of approximately 21 Independent Sales Contractors (1099 sales professionals) while partnering closely with internal teams and channel partners to accelerate regional performance and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing Independent Sales Contractors throughout the region
- Drive regional sales growth by coaching contractors to achieve and exceed territory sales goals
- Build a culture of accountability, activity, and execution through consistent field engagement and performance management
- Conduct regular in-person field rides, coaching sessions, business reviews, and sales development meetings
- Partner with sales contractors to improve prospecting, pipeline management, closing effectiveness, and territory strategy
- Identify open territory opportunities and actively lead recruiting efforts to maintain strong market coverage
- Collaborate with internal support teams and strategic channel partners to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Analyze sales performance metrics and utilize data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring improvement
- Maintain strong communication and alignment with executive leadership and cross-functional departments
Qualifications
- Proven success leading, coaching, and developing field-based sales teams
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and building successful sales organizations
- Strong sales leadership, performance management, and motivational coaching skills
- Ability to influence, hold accountability, and drive execution across an independent contractor sales channel
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Automotive aftermarket, SaaS, or B2B sales experience is a plus

Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus opportunity
Salary : $93,000 - $100,000
