What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wine Sales Representative position at Mitchell Wine Group?
Position:
Located in Bend, OR or surrounding area, this role will work with new and established territories, the expectation will be to maintain and grow account base by increasing sales footprints in existing account bases and though new account acquisition.
Essential Functions:
- Previous wine wholesale experience, including high touch accounts
- Proficient in both the retail and restaurant sales environments
- Ability to build new business in a defined sales territory
- Ability to hit target monthly sales and distribution goals while cultivating relationships with new and established clients
- Showcases strong wine knowledge and the ability to quickly learn Mitchell's portfolio
- Ability to strategically plan, prepare and execute sales goals on a weekly and monthly basis

- Organization and ability to delegate tasks as needed and execute plans, highly organized in self-management, scheduling and routing
- Detail oriented, strong eye for errors and inconsistencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact cooperatively and successfully with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work independently at the direction of the Sales Manager
- The ability to quickly pivot to sudden, time-sensitive tasks
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree, strongly preferred, or commensurate industry training such as WSET or Court of Masters trainings
- Valid OLCC Server's Permit
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to drive in adverse weather and environmental conditions, getting in and out of vehicle as required to service accounts
- Ability to repeatedly move product weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling
- Repetitive bending, kneeling, occasional climbing and display building is required
- Reliable transportation to service the sales territory
- Valid Oregon driver's license, proof of insurance for vehicle required
Work Environment:
- Remote / Home Office
- Must reside within an agreed upon Bend, OR location / geography to service customers
- Travel up to 75% of the time
