Mitchell Studio, an architecture firm in New Haven, Connecticut that focuses on private residences in traditional and vernacular styles, is seeking to add to our team. This is an in-office position and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Our work is primarily on the East Coast, concentrated in Connecticut, Manhattan, and the Hamptons. Projects include renovations and new construction.
Position Responsibilities:
- Immersion in two or more projects at a time
- Drafting and organization of construction documents
- Preparation of presentation materials
- Construction administration support.
The position requires a highly motivated person who can work independently or as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will be personable, creative, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Essential qualifications:
- 1-5 years of relevant professional experience in residential design and construction detailing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in architecture
- Excellent drawing, hand drafting, and physical model-making skills
