Mitchell McNutt is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and ensure the efficient operation of our legal practice. The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys, including drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Process and transcribe documents, manage data entry, and coordinate scheduling and calendars
- Monitor deadlines and assist with case management using file databases and case management software
- Arrange travel for attorneys and prepare expense reports as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Transcription experience preferred
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or minimum of two (2) years of experience in a secretarial, administrative, or related office role
