Job Description
The PET/CT Technologist is responsible for providing courteous and professional delivery of PET technical procedures/exams to all incoming patients. The person in this position responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality regarding personal health information, including but not limited to, patient diagnosis, health history, demographics, and referral information. The PET Technologist is responsible for all paperwork associated with technical procedures and responds to physician’s questions and needs regarding patient procedures. Some technologists may work under the direct medical supervision of a physician during certain procedures.

Requirements:
Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License
Must have training and certification in venipuncture for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter if applicable
BLS certification required
2 years of experience required
