Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Stocker to join our dynamic warehouse and retail team. The Stocker will be responsible for maintaining organized inventory, ensuring products are properly stocked, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, managing stock levels, and facilitating smooth product flow from receiving to sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments using RF scanners and forklifts to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas with retail products, including produce and grocery items, following merchandising standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and updating inventory management systems.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing items for dispatch and verifying outgoing shipments.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations through routine maintenance and sanitation.
- Support retail store operations by replenishing stock on the sales floor, packaging products, and assisting customers when needed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve stocking procedures, optimize space utilization, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Use basic math skills for inventory calculations, pricing adjustments, and product labeling.
- Communicate effectively across departments in multiple languages if applicable to ensure smooth workflow.
Skills
- Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory tracking and management.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse operations.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management.
- Familiarity with retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and customer service principles.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication in diverse environments.
