Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative tennis programs tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, from beginner clinics to competitive tournaments.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise coaching staff, ensuring high-quality instruction and consistent program delivery.
- Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of tennis courts and facilities to ensure optimal playing conditions.
- Coordinate with club board and tennis representatives to maintain a strong relationship, as well as making sure that programming is to their liking.
- Manage participant enrollment, registration processes, and communication to foster a welcoming environment for all members.
- Enforce safety protocols by ensuring proper use of equipment, adherence to court rules, and supervision during all activities.
- Organize special events such as tournaments, clinics, summer camps, and community outreach initiatives to boost engagement and visibility.
- Maintain detailed records of program participation, staff performance, safety incidents, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, behavior management, and personal growth among participants of all ages.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sports coaching with a strong background in tennis instruction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience.
- Provide necessary certification to employer, or willingness to complete certifications required prior to accepting position.
- Ability to plan engaging activities that incorporate sports coaching fundamentals while emphasizing fun, safety, and skill development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate participants and collaborate effectively with staff members.
