MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. About The Job:
The Patient Registration Associate will provide an excellent patient experience to all patients and visitors via phone and in person. This position is responsible for maintaining patient flow, scheduling appointments, directs phone calls appropriately, handles messages, files and pulls charts, registers hospital and clinic patients and collects time of service copays. Being a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by clinical and service staff, this position must work collaboratively with all staff in support of the patient's service promoting patient comfort and trust.
The Position: 1.0 FTE 80 hours per pay period.
Pay: Starts at $16.50, increases with experience
Shift: Monday-Saturday. 5am-5pm, Hours will be flexible/vary
Position Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of medical terminology required or the completion of a medical terminology course in the first year of employment.
- Experience:
- Six months of office experience, preferably in ambulatory setting such as a medical office.
- Typing/Computer experience is preferred.
- Special Skills & Aptitudes:
- The ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of people is required.
- Detail oriented, ability to multi task and able to organize work with frequent interruptions.
- The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to work with people in a courteous manner
- Ability to obtain BLS Certification
- Ability to obtain Mandatory Reporter for both Child and Dependent Certifications
