Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.

Founded more than 75 years ago as a community hospital, today we operate three clinics, 24/7 emergency services, inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. About The Job

The Certified Nurse Aid performs routine and general nurse aid functions on the medical surgical patient care unit. The CNA may also float to the Emergency Department as directed by the Acute Care Director.

The Position: PRN, work as needed. May work Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays.

Pay: Starts at $17.06

Position Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High school graduate or GED, preferred
    • Completion of Certified Nurse Aide course. Must be active on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry.
    • BLS/CPR for Health Care Provider Certification.
  • Experience:
    • Previous hospital nurse aide experience preferred.
  • Special Skills & Aptitudes:
    • Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow direction, understand work has interruptions, and relates to patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
    • Ability to recognize personal training needs and follow through to gain new competencies.
    • Ability to perform CPR.
    • Must have basic computer skills.
