Your keen mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics skills will enable you to accurately evaluate vehicle damage, develop detailed repair plans, and communicate effectively with both customers and our repair team. Duties
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to assess collision damage using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labor, and additional services such as alignments, suspension repairs, or mechanical work.
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain repair procedures, costs, and timelines, ensuring transparency and building trust.
- Collaborate with technicians and body shop staff to coordinate repairs, prioritize work orders, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage all service writing tasks efficiently while handling and processing insurance claims.
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive collision repair or estimation within a dealership or independent shop environment. Experience is DRP programs a plus. On the job training potential for the right candidate.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, and mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software is highly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various types of vehicles confidently.
- Pay dependent on experience, skill set and role knowledge and requirements.
