RECEPTIONIST/OFFICE OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE (ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE), Economics - Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) part-time, 20 hrs/wk., to support the work of a global research center that is working to reduce poverty. Will provide front desk, administrative, and general office support to the lab. J-PAL, a global research center working to reduce poverty and fight climate change by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence, is anchored by a network of more than 500 top researchers at universities around the world. J-PAL was launched at MIT in 2003 and its faculty directors are Nobel laureates and MIT professors Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo, and Ben Olken. It has over 400 research, policy, training, and operations staff across Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: High school diploma or its equivalent; a minimum of two years of experience in a professional work environment and relevant administrative support experience; attention to detail; ability to work on projects independently yet accept supervision; strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to properly prioritize tasks and handle several different projects/tasks at one time; experience with computer applications; and comfort learning new applications.
Work Schedule: On-site two days per week, Tuesday and Wednesday, 8:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., and two hours virtually as needed on other days of the week.
