Role Description
MIT Federal Credit Union is seeking a high-energy Marketing Analyst who is eager to transform insights into impactful strategies. The Marketing Analyst will gather, analyze, and interpret customer and marketing data to understand customer behavior, measure performance, identify trends, and optimize marketing strategies. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data tools, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter to establish marketing analytics for the department from the ground up.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various marketing channels, including digital, social media, email, SEO, and paid advertising, to assess performance and return on investment (ROI).
- Work with other departments and our data warehouse, core system, and other sources to gather data and create reports using both internal and external sources related to MIT FCU’s products and members. Additionally, collaborate with the Marketing and Digital teams to compile performance data from digital sources, website analytics, and campaign results.
- Analyze both internal and external data to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Identify opportunities to maximize sales and increase market penetration for current products, including options for cross-selling and acquiring new accounts. Identify potential new products and markets, and forecast and track sales trends.
- Access external sources, such as census data and competitive information, to understand member demographics, competition, and market factors that influence product demand and usage. This includes analyzing market segments, products, pricing, sales, and distribution methods.
- Make recommendations based on research findings, including ongoing insights into member behavior and the identification of target opportunities and segments.
- Use statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain member and marketing dashboards and reports to track KPIs and campaign effectiveness.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, digital banking, member experience) to align strategies with business objectives.
- Help drive A/B testing and other test-and-learn initiatives to optimize marketing efforts.
- Monitor customer behavior, segmentation, and engagement patterns to enhance targeting and personalization strategies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging marketing technologies, and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Math, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, or a similar role. Agency or in-house marketing experience is required.
- Proven proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, or similar.
- Proven experience with SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Excel, and data visualization techniques.
- Proven experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Solid understanding of digital marketing tactics is a must.
- Solid understanding of market research methods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable presenting insights to internal stakeholders with varying levels of seniority.
- Financial industry experience strongly preferred.
