Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure clients have access to nutritious food.
- Monitor client health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including helping clients move around their home or accompanying them to appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of client care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with daily living tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet individual client needs.
- Comply with agency policies, safety protocols, and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Prior experience preferred, but training provided
- Must have the following documents on file and current (within the past year):
- Two-Step TB Test
- CPR Certification
- State Background Check
- Proof of Residency (within past 2 years)
- Social Security Card (SSC)
- Valid Photo ID or Driver’s License
- Dependable transportation (personal, public, or rideshare)
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and compassion
