Position Summary
Mistras is seeking an NDT Assistant to support NDT Level II and Level III technicians with inspection and testing activities. This is a hands-on position providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Non-Destructive Testing field.
Candidates must be local to the Benicia, CA area. Relocation assistance is not available, and non-local candidates will not be considered.

Responsibilities
- Assist NDT technicians with inspection and testing activities.
- Prepare equipment and work areas for NDT examinations.
- Assist with equipment setup, handling, and cleanup.
- Follow established procedures and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support technicians with general field duties as assigned.
- Follow all company and client safety and quality requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous NDT experience or training is a plus.
- Ability to work in industrial and field environments.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license required.
- TWIC card – highly preferred
- Current Radiation Safety State Card – highly preferred
- NDT classroom training or previous NDT experience
- Familiarity with NDT methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT, or VT
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required.
- Ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments.
- Ability to work in confined or elevated areas when required.
- Must be able to work extended hours based on project needs.
