What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Trainee position at Mistras Group, Inc.-Shop?
NDT Trainee will assist the UT Level II Technician with the Ultrasonic Testing activities while gaining experience and knowledge.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
- Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down of equipment
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, calibrations, and overall upkeep of equipment and facilities.
- Assist with proper documentation and reports on services provided.
- Learn and abide by company policies and procedures.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- In-house plant/shop atmosphere.
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clients.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around other NDT inspection equipment and Forklifts moving parts around can cause elevated noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship required due to contractual obligations
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred.
- Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
- Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Working in a warehouse environment production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 pounds.
