Mistral is seeking a Business Development Manager to oversee the execution of our Airborne Countermeasures portfolio. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Bethesda, MD headquarters reporting the Vice-President, Loitering Munitions.
Job Description
- Support the Vice-President, Loitering Munitions in leading Mistral’s LM activities.
- With coordination with VP LM, manage assigned partner relationships to ensure that Mistral does provide our partners; both customers and providers, with significant value added and that Mistral personnel, are fulfilling and true to the company's Value Proposition.
- Manage the development and implementation of the tactical work plan(s) that support the successful fulfillment of the strategy. On a regular basis, coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure customer meetings, presentations, and responses to RFI/RFP/and RFQs, and other activities related to the work plan(s) are completed on time.
- Conduct hands-on strategic assessment of new technologies, systems, and products to determine fit and closure of capability gaps. Advise executive management on the identified end-user requirements and how the products, systems, and technologies should be introduced to the US market.
- Advise management on business plan for each new product, system, or technology in terms of relevant market opportunity and internal resources needed to capture business.
- Ensure the on-time development, delivery, and presentation of the marketing and business development strategy. Lead and execute the planned BD and marketing activities.
- Develop collateral materials in support of marketing communications for the products. Work in close coordination with Mistral's partners, end-users, OEMs, system integrators, and prime government contractors.
- Lead or support all proposal activities on either a direct (Mistral lead) or indirect basis. Prepare competitive assessment, price to win, and key success factors for bid/no bid meetings. Participate in the development and production of proposals, including but not limited to writing, editing, data gathering, red team review, pricing, etc.
- Exert mature leadership and clearly communicate goals and objectives to the company's clients. Keeping partners informed on a regular basis and achieving planned goals and objectives.
- Manage Teaming Agreements, Technical Assistance Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Import/Export Licenses, and Foreign Visitor Requests that are required for the proper execution of the marketing and business plan(s).
- Prepare for and participate in trade shows and attend seminars and symposiums that are related to the Business Development Director's specific responsibility.
- Ensure organized searches of Defense Department websites for new business opportunities/solicitations related to the relevant capability areas are conducted regularly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- BS/BA Degree – or equivalent experience; MBA or Master’s degree desired.
- 3 years’ experience in Department of Defense business development preferred.
- Military pilot or weapons system officer preferred.
- Additional experience with government contracts a plus.
- Must possess or be eligible for Secret clearance.

Salary : $115,000 - $145,000
