Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Missouri Walnut Group in the receiving yard. This role is essential for maintaining operation efficiency, ensuring the safe handling of materials while operating safely in a fast paced environment. This role is outside, so you be working in all weather conditions. Your contributions will support our mission of driving growth and innovation within the lumber industry. The hours are Monday-Friday: 7AM - 3:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers while adhering to safety protocols.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Assist with inventory management by keeping accurate records of materials handled.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a clean work environment.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company policies regarding safety practices.
• Use a computer program to generate product tags
• Use a cell phone application to calculate load tally's

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts in a fast paced production setting.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations related to material handling and workplace safety.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the position.
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is beneficial.
• Experience working in a distribution center or warehouse environment is a plus.
• Computer experience is preferred
• Smart phone experience is required
