After School Pre-School Assistant

• Responsible for the supervision of students in the After School Program from the hours of 3pm to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
• Maintains effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe environment for all students and staff (including: effective discipline techniques and reporting procedures)
• Maintaining complete and accurate student records as required by laws, school policies and administrative regulations (including, but not limited to: daily notes, attendance records and accident/incident reports)
• Maintain a positive and personable rapport with students, staff and parents
• Maintain a neat, well organized and attractive classroom that promotes learning
• Attends all pre-announced staff meetings, evening parent meetings September through May (including: additional meetings at the request of the Director or School Board)
• Participates in ongoing training (including, but not limited to: CPR, First Aid)
• Attend and assist with the planning and implementing scheduled school-sponsored social functions held occasionally at night with the maximum of one event per month
• Maintain inventory, working condition and proper use of all equipment and furnishings assigned to the classroom (including: gym and outdoor areas)
• Assess the needs of the classroom and prepares requests for any supplies, material or furnishings as needed for the After School Program
• Assist daily with classroom and school maintenance (including, but not limited to: cleaning up spills, dishes, dusting, and picking up the lobby)
• Clean the school in accordance with the protocol designed
• Other duties as assigned by the Director or the School Board
• Summer hours are required. Extra hours may be possible if wanted.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
