Job Description
This position will be based in Dallas/Ft. Worth Metro Area, Texas, and will perform significant recruiting and admissions activities throughout selected Texas markets. Responsibilities include meeting with prospective students, attending college fairs, scheduling high school visits, coordinating special events, collaborating with alumni ambassadors, and working closely with Houston-based admissions counselor to support statewide recruitment needs.
Key Responsibilities
Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm with weekend and evening travel
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $19.00-$23.50 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Represent Missouri S&T at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and recruitment programs throughout Texas
- Advise and assist prospective students by explaining admissions requirements, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, and campus life
- Travel regularly within assigned Texas markets, including some evening and weekend commitments
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors, community partners, and campus stakeholders
- Manage recruitment territories by utilizing data to plan travel, making admissions decision, and maintaining consistent communication with students
- Coordinate closely with the Houston-based admissions counselor to align recruitment strategies, share insights, and support event needs across Texas
- Engage and collaborate with alumni ambassadors to strengthen their involvement in recruitment activities and enhance the university's presence across Texas
- Plan and host special recruitment events for prospective students, both regionally and on campus; Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and industry partners to coordinate logistics
- Record communication with prospective students through electronic data entry systems
- Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience in student recruitment
- Three or more years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, sales, or other highly interactive promotional fields
- Strong organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication abilities; self-motivated and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with PeopleSoft and Slate preferred; strong comfort with technology, social media, and data analysis
