General Function
The Instructor NT is a non-tenure track position with responsibilities to teach full-time and to provide appropriate service. The Instructor NT may participate in research or creative activities.
Description Of Primary Duties
The successful candidate will teach in the following areas: Marketing and Advertising. May be asked to teach marketing courses such as principles of marketing, principles of advertising, advanced advertising, digital marketing, marketing yourself, and consumer behavior, among others, as needed. Course modalities would include seated or online, among others such as blended or cross-listed. It is also expected to provide service to the Department of Marketing, College of Business, Missouri State University, and the local/regional community and the profession.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
An earned terminal degree or the degree required for teaching in certain disciplines is required. Potential or demonstrated teaching ability is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is required.
Additional Qualifications
Successful candidate must have a Masters of Business Administration ( MBA ) degree with an emphasis in Marketing from an AACSB -accredited institution. Demonstrated college teaching experience and experience with college students and student organizations is preferred. In addition to teaching experience, relevant industry experience is also preferred. The ability to work with and develop working relationships with colleagues and students is a must.
