Summary
The Member Care Representative (MCR) is responsible for phone, website and e-mail requests from members, potential members and the public and provides general information regarding MSTA benefits and services and how they may be accessed. The MCR transfers calls that require specialized response to the proper department or person and acts as an information and administrative resource to other departments when requested. The MCRs also support the Member Service Coordinators, Professional Learning Department and other Member Services staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Data and Records Responsibilities:
- Handles requests via phone, email and website from members, potential members and the public and provides general information regarding MSTA benefits and services and how they may be accessed.
- Assist members with password reset, update email address, enable Community Hub, email password link to member, walk member through the Autopay process
- Serves as administrative assistant to Member Service Coordinators, Professional Learning Dept, Student Groups Coordinator, Director of Member Services, and others as requested or assigned.
- Prepares and mails retired or recognition certificates upon request
- Researches answers to general information requests when information is not immediately available and then provides the information as requested by the inquirer.
- Transfers calls that require specialized response to the proper department or person.
- Assists members with AD&D claims and beneficiary changes.
- Follows through to ensure all requests receive the best possible answer.
- Interacts with other departments in order to ensure requests have been resolved in a timely manner.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
- Logs calls, online communications, and Member Care email information in Salesforce account records
- Set-up event registrations in Nimble; register members for events: Leadership Conference, BTAPs, book studies, webinars, New Professionals Training Camp, region and special events.
- Run Nimble reports for positions supported (Professional Learning/Member Services)
- Updates membership record data in Nimble.
- Schedule, coordinate, assist other staff, and document all onsite and online BTAPs and book studies.
- Updates Nimble data: corrects addresses, CTA officers upon request from MSC or other individual(s).
Other Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all applicable communication policies and procedures.
- Uses time and resources effectively and efficiently.
- Cooperates with all MSTA staff and encourages them to effectively serve association members.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
- Routine and regular attendance is a necessary element of this job.
