Primary Job Function
Provide individual nutritional needs for each resident by creating personalized meal plans to manage health conditions or promote wellness. Responsible for providing nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and staff.
Essential Job Functions
Must be a Licensed Registered Dietitian (LRD) registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association in the state of North Dakota.
Previous Experience In a Long-term Care Setting Is Preferred.
Successfully pass a drug test, background check, including criminal history, certification registries, and employment history.
Maintain continuing education and professional requirements nece sary to maintain current registration and licensure in good standing.

Completion of training as required by Missouri Slope

Primary Job Function

Essential Job Functions
- Assess and determine the nutritional status of assigned residents, including evaluating the effectiveness of nutritional interventions. Accurately complete, document, and maintain all required assessments, reports, and records.
- Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in planning and delivering appropriate resident care. Assist the Director of Nutritional Services in evaluating food service operations to ensure proper portion sizes, temperatures, quality, and presentation standards are met. Participate in Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs) as assigned.
- Develop and present nutrition education programs and in-service training for personnel as requested.
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to high-quality food production standards, including proper food preparation, portion control, and use of standardized recipes.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of therapeutic diets and ensure compliance with approved menus for both regular and therapeutic diets. Supervise staff to ensure diet orders are followed accurately.
- Demonstrate the ability to calculate measurements, initiate and review tray tickets, make menu adjustments as needed, and effectively utilize departmental computer software.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with residents, families, coworkers, and when representing the organization in the community.
- Maintain confidentiality of all resident and employee information in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
- Complete assigned learning activities by the designated due date in the Relias Learning Program to meet mandatory and staff development education requirements.
- Consistently demonstrate Missouri Slopes customer service standards of excellence in all interactions.
- Sufficient visual acuity to read, write, and review medical records, menus, reports, and related documentation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow oral and written instructions; communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, and the public; and complete accurate, thorough documentation in permanent medical records.
- Adequate hearing acuity to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and the public.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and departmental software systems.
- Ability to make ethical, professional, and compliant decisions.
