What are the responsibilities and job description for the Organizer position at MISSOURI RURAL CRISIS CENTER?
As a rural organizer, the main focus will be to develop and implement grassroots organizing campaigns across issues, from farm and agriculture justice to healthcare and environmental justice, that build people-power and directly confront corporate power to win concrete changes that make our communities more just and democratic – and make life better for a lot more people. Rural organizers will work with their direct supervisor and the other organizers on the team to implement effective strategies and tactics to bring people into MRCC work and campaigns and win changes in their everyday lives.
This is a salaried, exempt position starting at $44,000-48,000, depending on experience. The position is based out of Columbia, MO, but hybrid-remote/in-person options may be possible, depending on the candidate. Organizers will be required to travel throughout the state, with some night and weekend commitments.
